1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using District Social Club DC ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and District Social Club DC.
2. Description of Service
District Social Club DC is a professional community platform connecting Washington, DC-area professionals — including young professionals, entrepreneurs, and DC locals — through online networking tools and curated in-person events. The Platform facilitates introductions and community engagement but does not guarantee specific professional outcomes.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to register. By creating an account you confirm all submitted information is accurate and current. Accounts may not be shared or transferred.
4. Member Conduct
Members agree to engage respectfully at all times, online and at in-person events. Prohibited conduct includes harassment, hate speech, spam, identity misrepresentation, unauthorized solicitation, and any activity that disrupts the community. Violations may result in suspension or removal.
5. Content & Intellectual Property
Members retain ownership of posted content but grant District Social Club DC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it within the Platform. You may not reproduce or repurpose Platform content — including member directories or event materials — without written consent.
6. Membership & Payments
Certain features require a paid membership. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are available within 7 days of an initial charge. Pricing changes are communicated with 30 days' notice.
7. Events
Event tickets are non-refundable unless cancelled by the organizer. By attending events, members agree to abide by venue rules and the Platform's conduct standards. District Social Club DC is not liable for incidents at third-party venues.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided "as is." We do not verify member-provided information and are not responsible for member interactions. Our liability is limited to amounts paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate any account for violations of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Washington, DC.
11. Changes to Terms
Material changes are communicated via email or Platform notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
